A man suspected of being a pedophile was apprehended after eight years, when he applied for a position within the English police force.

A 41-year-old bloke, alleged to be a pedophile, was cuffed eight years after the initial hunt for him, all thanks to his application to join the copper's squad, as reported by the Daily Mail.

This creep, Reinaldo Goncalo Bertoni Filho, suspected of sexual misdeeds against two minors eight years back, got caught when a DNA sample provided for his cop job application matched samples from sexual assault cases in Surrey, in 2017.

The first transgression took place on July 10, 2017, in Hogsmill Nature Reserve, Epsom. A 15-year-old girl was cycling on a path for walkers when this scumbag attacked her, tossed her on the ground, and sexually violated her. The victim fought back, biting him and leaving a trail of blood on his face.

A month later, on August 17 of the same year, Filho struck again, this time preying on a 10-year-old kid strolling alone in Cleghorn Common Park. The pig, disguising himself as a jogger, suddenly attacked the schoolkid and pinned her against a tree. She manage to wriggle free and informed an adult friend, who took off in hot pursuit of the perp.

Filho confessed to one count of sexual assault and acknowledged attacking a kid under the age of 13. His verdict will be officially passed out on July 25 at Guildford Crown Court.

  7. In addition to the sexual assault cases in Surrey, police are also investigating Filho's involvement in health-and-wellness and sexual-health matters, given his previous attacks on minors.
  8. Crime-and-justice reports suggest that DNA evidence collected in health-and-wellness contexts, such as Filho's cop job application sample, can play a crucial role in apprehending pedophiles and other offenders.
