Kneipp Recalls Aroma Care Shower Gel Due to Bacterial Contamination
The German company Kneipp has issued a recall for several batches of its Aroma Care Shower Gel "Joy of Life" due to the detection of the bacterium Burkholderia cepacia. The affected batches include 2506917, 2506918, and 2506919.
The bacterium can potentially cause infections, especially in people with weakened immune systems or pre-existing health conditions. For healthy individuals, the risk is considered low but not zero. Therefore, use of the affected batches should be avoided to prevent potential infections.
Users are strongly advised not to use these products any further. The sale and distribution of these batches have already been stopped by the company. Customers can return the affected products to the place of purchase for a refund.
