Belarus: 21-Year-Old Dies From Sepsis After DIY Tattoo
A 21-year-old girl from Molodechno, Belarus, has sadly passed away due to complications related to a recent tattoo. The cause of death was determined to be sepsis, an inflammatory process that led to organ failure. The young woman had received a tattoo on her left shoulder just a day before her condition deteriorated. This was not done in a professional salon, raising concerns about hygiene standards. Following the procedure, she developed a high fever and the area around the tattoo became red and swollen. The State Committee of Forensic Examinations in Belarus has warned that tattoos can allow bacteria and viruses to enter the body, especially when not done in sterile environments. The GCSExpert Committee recommends that tattoo artists adhere to strict sanitary norms, use disposable tools, and work in sterile conditions to prevent such tragedies. The sudden death of this young woman serves as a stark reminder of the potential risks associated with tattoos when not performed in safe, professional environments. Authorities urge caution and emphasize the importance of proper hygiene and sterilization practices in tattoo parlours.
