Belarus Sees Early Rise in Respiratory Infections, No Flu Yet

Belarus is currently experiencing an increase in acute respiratory infections, with several viruses in circulation. These include adenoviruses, respiratory syncytial virus, rhinovirus, and SARS-CoV-2. Despite this, the current situation is not alarming, and no flu cases have been recorded yet.

The 'Influvac Tetra' vaccine is being offered in hospitals for free immunization. This vaccine is one of three available during the current epidemic season. While the peak of flu is typically expected in late January to February, the increase in acute respiratory infections has been observed since early September. It's important to note that no public information is available about the currently circulating viral strains in Belarus as of October 2025.

Although the current level of acute respiratory infections is not a cause for concern, citizens are encouraged to get vaccinated. Another vaccine for paid immunization is expected to arrive soon. Health authorities are monitoring the situation closely to ensure the safety and well-being of the population.
