Audi AG Donates €44,000 to Boost Disaster Preparedness in Ingolstadt
Audi AG has generously donated €44,000 to the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe, a prominent German aid organization, to enhance disaster relief efforts in Ingolstadt. This contribution will bolster the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe's capacity to respond effectively to emergencies and disasters in the region.
Equipping the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe for Future Crises
The funding will be used to acquire modern and specialized disaster relief tools and supplies, improving the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe's operational readiness and efficiency. This includes the acquisition of a mobile sanitation facility, which will better equip the organization for future disaster situations.
Strengthening Local Infrastructure and Community Resilience
With better resources, the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe can mobilize faster and provide more effective aid, minimizing damage and saving lives during disasters. The grant supports the development of stronger local disaster relief infrastructure in Ingolstadt, a key area due to its population density and industrial significance. This, in turn, enhances not only the immediate response but also supports longer-term community resilience by ensuring quicker recovery and support for affected populations.

Dr. Ute Röding, head of Audi Corporate Citizenship, expressed satisfaction about the donation, stating, "We are pleased to support the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe in their important work. Volunteer Efforts During the Flood Relief
During the flood relief effort, around 100 volunteers from the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe donated their time and strength, filling sandbags, transporting materials, and offering emotional support to those affected. Fabian Hofmayer, a member of the Audi works council service, and Sandra Swierkot presented the donation check to the Johanniter in Ingolstadt.
Rebuilding and Recovery
The donation is intended to support the rebuilding of rescue infrastructure in the flood-affected region. Audi AG's donation helped around 48 non-profit organizations and associations, including the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe, in their relief efforts.
Sandra Swierkot expressed gratitude towards the volunteer and professional deployment forces, stating, "The flood relief effort was a testament to the power of community spirit and the dedication of our volunteers and partners."
The Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe, with over 31,000 employees, 46,000 volunteers, and around 1.2 million supporters, played a significant role in providing aid during the heavy spring floods in Ingolstadt. The organization, under the local representation of Sven Müller, was actively involved in the deployment. Alexandra Reinhart, a member of the regional board of the Bavarian Johanniter, praised the commitment of the AUDI AG, saying, "We are deeply grateful for Audi AG's support in these challenging times. Their donation will make a significant difference in our ability to respond effectively to emergencies and disasters in the future."
