The research found that individuals who consumed more than five cups of coffee daily demonstrated cognitive performance comparable to someone 6.7 years younger, indicating a positive association between higher coffee intake and cognitive aging.

Moderate coffee intake, typically around 2-3 cups per day, has been linked to lower risks of depression and anxiety, improved mood, and lower risks of heart disease, particularly if the coffee is filtered. However, excessive caffeine can lead to sleep disturbances, anxiety, and potentially hypertension in some populations.

On the other hand, consuming more than six cups a day of coffee increases the risk for brain diseases, dementia, and stroke by 53 percent. The concern about coffee and the brain arises from recent findings about its potential negative effects.
