Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge is set to visit Nagaland on October 7, where he will address a public rally and hold meetings with local leaders. However, his trip took an unexpected turn as he was hospitalized due to breathing difficulties.

Kharge's visit began with a planned public rally at Naga Solidarity Park in Kohima. Following the rally, he had scheduled meetings with senior Congress members and district-level leaders in Nagaland. However, during his stay, Kharge experienced aggravated breathing problems and was promptly admitted to a local hospital.

Kharge's son later confirmed that the hospitalization was not an emergency but part of a planned procedure. He revealed that Kharge was admitted to Bengaluru's MS Ramaiah Hospital for a pacemaker transplant, which was previously scheduled. Despite the unexpected turn of events, Kharge is reported to be stable and doing well.

The pacemaker transplant was a planned procedure, and his condition is not a cause for concern. The Congress party will continue with its scheduled meetings and rallies in Nagaland.
