Democratic Party perceives potential danger due to Biden's "rehabilitation journey"

A casual chat about Biden:

It seems some insiders within the Democratic Party are urging former President Joe Biden to steer clear of the limelight, as new data suggests potential cognitive issues popping up during his time in office. That's according to the Financial Times.

Democratic strategist John Rainish told the publication, "The Biden family and his aides' desperation to kick off this hurried 'redemption tour' is hardly a heartfelt attempt to right the wrongs. Instead, it seems more like poking at a wound that needs healing." He added that it would be wiser to keep a low profile, rather than fanning the flames, at least for now.

Rumors have it that, post-elections, Biden was destined for a wheelchair despite his age (82, same as Trump at the end of his term). Quite a twist, hey?

Now, Joe's no spring chicken – he's four years older than Trump who he initially battled last year. But Joe dropped out after the debates, giving the baton to Vice President Kamala Harris.

During Biden's reign, the media raised eyebrows over health issues, which may have played a role in his election withdrawal. Speaking of elections, Trump garnered over 77 million votes (49.8%) in the November elections, winning 312 electoral votes, while Harris got 75 million (48.3%) with 226 electoral votes.

Lately, there've been whispers about Biden's condition deteriorating. Axios reported that his team considered using an invalid chair post-election, as his health took a turn for the worse. Meanwhile, The Guardian spilled the beans that his team tried to hush his health matters at the time.

On a totally different note, journalists from CNN and Axios recently penned a book, "Battle and Revenge," where they share an incident involving Trump not recognizing Hollywood actor George Clooney. Clooney advises Trump against running for President of the United States due to this episode.

Interestingly, concerns about Biden's cognitive abilities are not new. Many officials and foreign leaders have hinted at his deteriorating mental acuity since the beginning of his presidency, describing him as increasingly frail, tired, meandering, and confused[1]. Some even urge him to undergo a cognitive test[1]. Biden, however, declined those requests, stating that he considers his daily duties to serve as his cognitive test[1].

In response to these concerns, Biden's team limited his schedule and interactions from as early as 2021 to minimize worries about his age and mental acuity[1]. In fact, there were talks about providing a wheelchair for Biden during his 2024 re-election bid, indicating ongoing health concerns[2]. Despite these speculations, Biden did not undergo any formal cognitive assessments during his presidency[1].
