DEPOWA President Emphasizes Health and Fitness for Military Families
Mrs. Oghogho Musa, President of the Defence and Police Officers' Wives Association (DEPOWA), has reiterated the association's backing for the military and their families. She stressed the importance of good nutrition and regular exercise for maintaining health and family harmony.
DEPOWA is committed to sustaining welfare activities and morale-boosting programmes. Mrs. Musa noted that consistent exercise and proper diet contribute to emotional stability and family harmony. She advised women to make healthier food choices and avoid carbonated drinks.
Mrs. Musa commended frontline troops for their sacrifices and dedication to national security. She extended special appreciation to personnel deployed in various theatres of operation. DEPOWA's one-year campaign aims to promote morale, celebrate sacrifices, and strengthen family support networks within the military community.
The next event led by Mrs. Musa, dedicated to health, fitness, and mental well-being, is the DEPOWA Inter-Secondary Schools Sports and Health Week. It was launched on Monday, September 22, 2025, with the location yet to be specified.
