Dieter Bohlen, the j juror on Germany's Got Talent and former DSDS judge, opened up about a recent health scare during the filming of the second episode on September 21st. The incident occurred when he scraped his leg on a bush at Europa Park Rust while taking pictures with fans.

Bohlen, who is 70, revealed to Bild that he has a fear of blood infections due to a serious infection he suffered a few months ago. The infection was caused by an injury sustained while playing tennis, which led to a knee problem that required hospitalization. He shared that his knee swelled up, causing him "hellish pain" and causing doctors to worry about his leg's viability. Luckily, he was successfully treated and has since continued with his DSDS duties.

This season, Bohlen is judging DSDS alongside his protégé Pietro Lombardi, rapper Loredana, and pop singer Beatrice Egli. The second episode showcased his emotional involvement with the contestants, as he endeavors to discover fresh talent in the German music scene.
