District's Cancer Centre Delivers Educational Talk on Nutrition in Cancer Care

On Wednesday, September 11, 2025, the Herford District Cancer Advisory Center is hosting a free information event on "Nutrition in Cancer" at the Family Medical Center in Kirchlengern. The event will take place in the seminar room, located on the top floor at Bahnhofstr. 2-4.

The event is scheduled from 10:30 to 11:30 am and is open to both cancer patients and interested relatives. The topic of discussion will focus on healthy nutrition in cancer diseases, with Madeleine Büscher, an Oecotrophologist at the Kirchlengern Family Medical Center, delivering the talk.

While there is no specific "anti-cancer diet", the "5 a day" fruit and vegetable campaign can improve the immune system and strengthen defenses. This is particularly beneficial for cancer patients, who often feel uncertain about changing their diet for prevention or treatment.

Registration for the event can be done by phone at 05223/6530390. Unfortunately, there is no public information available about Madeleine Büscher and her past work in medical facilities.

In a different development, the same information event on "Nutrition in Cancer" is scheduled for October 1, 2025, at the same location and time. The event is limited in seating, so it is advised to register early to secure a spot.

This event aims to provide valuable insights and practical advice on maintaining a balanced and nutritious diet during cancer treatment, as well as strategies for prevention. It is a great opportunity for those seeking to learn more about the role of nutrition in managing cancer.
