DUH Hosts Free Breast Cancer Awareness Event on October 26

Düsseldorf University Hospital (DUH) is hosting a free information event on October 26, focusing on breast cancer and other female-specific cancers. The event, timed to coincide with 'Breast Cancer Awareness Month', will delve into the latest innovations in operative and radiation therapies, as well as strategies to manage fatigue. No registration is required, and the event will take place in the auditorium of the surgery at DUH.

The event is part of DUH's commitment to raising awareness and improving patient care. With approximately 70,000 women in Germany diagnosed with breast cancer annually, and around 26,000 women diagnosed with other female-specific cancers, the need for accessible, up-to-date information is crucial.

DUH's Centrum for Integrated Oncology ABCD has been recognized as an 'Oncological Center of Excellence' by the German Cancer Aid. The hospital works in collaboration with several prestigious institutions, including Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, University Hospital Essen, and the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg. These partnerships drive research and development of common treatment standards, ensuring patients receive the best possible care.

The information event at DUH on October 26 promises to be an invaluable resource for women affected by breast cancer and other female-specific cancers. With expert panels, lectures, and individual question sessions, attendees can expect to gain a deeper understanding of the latest innovations in operative therapy, radiation therapy, and fatigue management. The event is open to all, with no registration required.
