Elderly Assault: 85-year-old individual brutally assaulted in his sleep at home
In a shocking incident, an 85-year-old resident of Klagenfurt was the victim of a robbery that took place in his apartment. The safe containing valuables was stolen, and the elderly man suffered hematomas on his forearm, further bruises, and a severe shock.
The incident occurred when three men, whose identities remain unknown, gained access to the apartment through both the balcony door and the entrance door. One of the perpetrators spoke broken German. After removing the safe, one of the men demanded the victim's mobile phone and took it.
The initial manhunt for the perpetrators was unsuccessful. The State Criminal Office of Carinthia has since taken over the investigation.
