Coffee in the morning, my go-to, but as a fitness enthusiast, I know the importance of a balanced meal. Protein, carbs, and healthy fats, that's what I need. But let's face it, some mornings I just can't stomach a full breakfast before my 5:45 AM workout. That's when I discovered Fairlife ultra-filtered milk, a quick and easy solution for adding protein to my morning coffee.

Think of it like the protein creamer you find at popular coffee shops, but Fairlife doesn't advertise it as such. I like to call it protein milk. I use it much like creamer, although I typically use 4-6 ounces of it to reap the protein benefits.

One 8-ounce serving of Fairlife milk boasts a whopping 13 grams of protein, which is about 5 grams more than you'll find in traditional milk. Plus, it's ultra-filtered, meaning it's devoid of lactose, making it a suitable choice for those with dairy intolerances.

It also features half the sugar of regular cow's milk. Despite being ultra-filtered, Fairlife's milk still contains a significant dose of vitamin D and calcium, so you won't miss out on the benefits of drinking milk.

I've whipped up a variety of coffee drinks using this milk, using my barista skills to the fullest. My favorite is a cup of regular brewed Nespresso with about 4 ounces of steamed chocolate Fairlife milk. In the summer, I love brewing a double shot of Nespresso over ice and adding 8 ounces of chocolate or 2% Fairlife milk to make a refreshing iced mocha or latte.

I also use it to make coffee protein shakes during the summer, blending two shots of espresso with a cup of protein milk, a scoop of vanilla protein powder, and ice. The result is a delicious high-protein, caffeinated treat.

I even add this milk to pancake batter, overnight oats, hot oatmeal, and cereal for an extra protein boost. I tend to consume these post-workout and often just have a protein coffee pre-workout.

Fairlife also offers a few different types of protein shakes, ranging from 24-42 grams of protein. They're great for post-workout recovery. I'm a fan of the 42-gram Core Powder Elite strawberry protein shake. These protein shakes taste like regular milk, avoiding the weird aftertaste or texture that most other pre-made protein shakes have.

So, there you have it, a quick and easy way to add protein to your morning coffee without compromising on taste or convenience. Try it out and see the difference for yourself. Your muscles will thank you!
