In Hong Kong, a bottle filled with a corrosive substance was hurled from a public apartment building, inflicting injuries upon a pair of passersby.

In a shocking incident that took place on Saturday at 1:11 pm, a couple was injured in Tai Po, Hong Kong, after a bottle of corrosive liquid was hurled from a high floor of Kwong Shung House in Kwong Fuk Estate.

According to the Hong Kong police, scores of officers were present at the scene to investigate the incident. Firefighters were also called in to assist.

The injured man and his female companion were walking together at the time of the incident. The man sustained eye injuries, while the woman had her legs and arms hurt. Both were sent to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital in Tai Po for treatment.

The suspect in this attack is a 19-year-old man who reportedly threw a bottle of corrosive liquid from a public housing estate. The Hong Kong police subdued this man during the incident.
