Prisoner Ioseb Gorgadze, a 46-year-old individual, shuffled from Gldani Institution No. 8 to the Vivamedi Clinic with mysterious mishaps, breathed his last, his legal representative Mukhran Ghurtskaya communicated to the press.

Here's the lowdown: After a brutal beating on January 30, Gorgadze was admitted to the clinic. Ghurtskaya shares, "Gorgadze's family got the devastating news around 10:00 PM yesterday; he didn't make it. For close to three months, he fought like a lion but succumbed to his injuries."

She lashed out at the ongoing investigation, claiming it failed to grasp the gravity of the situation. The initial probe, instigated under Article 118 of the Criminal Code, which deals with inflicting less severe harm, didn't give justice to the severity of Gorgadze's ordeal. With the unfortunate turn of events, the Special Investigation Service has now taken charge of the investigation.

Ghurtskaya stated that Gorgadze was mercilessly beaten and tortured within the prison walls, but the exact perpetrators—organized by staff or fellow inmates—have yet to be identified. Gorgadze reportedly had around 30 facial fractures and brain swelling.

While the details surrounding the nature of Gorgadze's injuries and the circumstances leading to his admission to Vivamedi Clinic remain a mystery, the Penitentiary Service has publicly acknowledged his death, although no articulate updates on the investigation's current status or any potential consequences have been provided. As of the latest updates, neither autopsies nor forensic examinations have been carried out, and no formal communication from law enforcement regarding the case has been issued.
