Probing the Past: scrutinizing the Employer over Christmas Market Driving Rampage

Interrogated Seventy Individuals Regarding the Suspect of the Christmas Market Assault, Previous Employer Did - Interviewed seventy individuals concerning the gunman at the holiday market celebration

Let's dive in!

The former boss of the infamous Christmas market driver in Magdeburg has delved deep into a comprehensive inquiry, grilling a whopping 70 employees so far. Taleb A.'s previous employer, the health establishment Salus, clarified that the majority of these questioned had worked side-by-side with Taleb A. Two reports have already been lodged on a whistleblower platform.

A high-tech search for more than a million files was initiated, with a focus on pertinent keywords. Approximately 12,000 of these files required a more detailed inspection. However, Salus has chosen to keep hush about the results for now, emphasizing thoroughness over speed. The investigation is being meticulously conducted. The anticipation for the final report is set for the end of July or early August.

Taleb A. was once in the medical field.

Salus, a non-profit operator of socially-oriented facilities in Saxony-Anhalt, welcomed Taleb A. into their ranks in 2020. He was stationed in Bernburg (Salzlandkreis) at the forensic psychiatry department as a doctor, overseeing psychiatric care for convicts on three wards.

Nearly a year ago, on a Christmas eve, the man from Saudi Arabia crashed his vehicle into the bustling streets of Magdeburg, leaving six innocents dead and around 300 injured. Taleb A.'s employment was terminated on December 23, 2024.

A Colleague's Concerns

A colleague's persistent worries about Taleb A.'s mental health surfaced in February, mere months before the tragic event. It was revealed this individual had communicated these concerns to their superiors.

Salus has since engaged two prominent forensic psychiatrists to scrutinize the situation. The duo, both professors with leadership experience, will screen Taleb A.'s professional history to determine if, with the information available prior to the attack, they could have foreseen a potential self- or external menace.
