Invitation for Collaborative Planning of Member Events on our Site in the Year 2025
The European Beekeeping Association (EBA) has unveiled the Events Fund 2025, a grant programme aimed at supporting member organisations in hosting events that promote and raise awareness of bees and bee products.
To be eligible for the fund, applicant organisations must be members of the EBA, and their proposed events must align with one or more of the priority areas outlined in the EBA's objectives. The events must also be held in Europe and be open to the general public.
Each selected event will receive a grant of 1500 EUR (gross) after the event, following approval of a final report. Only one application per event will be accepted, and applicants are encouraged to provide translations into at least one foreign language or have lecturers who hold lectures in a foreign language with translation into the host language.
The application process requires a detailed description of the event, including its objectives and proposed agenda or programme, as well as a plan detailing how the website's co-organiser role will be visibly acknowledged at the event. The EBA will provide only a contribution to the event's realization, with the applicants responsible for securing their own funding for the event.
The EBA Executive Board will select up to five events for co-organisation in 2025. The application deadline for the Events Fund 2025 is November 1st, 2024, and applications must be submitted via email to eba@our website with the subject line "our website EVENTS FUND 2025 - Application".
For those interested in applying, it is recommended to review the EBA's guidelines and application requirements carefully before submitting an application. The EBA's website provides detailed information on the application process, and applicants are encouraged to reach out to the association directly for any additional questions or clarifications.
By supporting member organisations in hosting events, the EBA aims to connect entities that can contribute to the improvement of the beekeeping sector in Europe and foster a greater understanding of the importance of bees and bee products among the general public.
In the context of the Events Fund 2025, applicant organizations are urged to consider organizing events that not only align with the beekeeping sector but also promote health-and-wellness, such as workshops on using bee products for natural remedies or wellness retreats emphasizing holistic living with honey. Alternatively, science-focused events could also be relevant, aiming to educate the public on the latest research and advancements in beekeeping and apitherapy.
