Kazakhstan's Centenarian Population: Almaty Leads With 58 Residents Over 100
Kazakhstan has revealed its centenarian population statistics, with Almaty leading the way. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population shared these figures on Sept. 30.
Almaty, the country's largest city, is home to the highest number of centenarians, with 58 residents over the age of 100. The Almaty Region follows closely with 37 centenarians. Turkistan Region takes the third spot with 53 residents reaching the century mark.
The oldest Kazakhstani is a remarkable 115-year-old woman from the Ulytau Region. Other regions with exceptionally aged residents include Pavlodar with a 113-year-old and Zhambyl with a 110-year-old. In total, Kazakhstan has 448 citizens aged 100 and over.
These statistics highlight the significant aging population in Kazakhstan. The Ministry's report shows the highest concentration of centenarians in Almaty, with other regions also boasting impressive numbers. The oldest resident, a 115-year-old woman from Ulytau, is a testament to the country's longevity.
