KNPC wins multiple 2025 RoSPA accolades for outstanding performance in workplace safety and health
The Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) has been honoured with the prestigious 2025 RoSPA Award, recognising its outstanding commitment to workplace health and safety. The Gold Award classification signifies KNPC's exceptional performance in this critical area.
This achievement is expected to have a positive impact on both KNPC's workforce and operations. The award boosts KNPC's performance during audits, client and partner evaluations, and stakeholder reviews, further underscoring its ongoing commitment to employee well-being and operational safety.
KNPC's Deputy CEO for Support Services, Kholoud Al-Mutairi, praised the achievement, acknowledging the hard work and dedication of KNPC's employees in achieving the award. She emphasised KNPC's adaptability and continuous improvement of its systems to meet global standards.
ISO 45001, the global standard for workplace health and safety management systems, aligns well with Process Safety Management (PSM) and uses the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle to continuously improve safety performance. KNPC, like many major energy companies, aligns its safety systems with ISO 45001, integrating structured approaches to risk management and compliance with global safety and health standards.
Safety is a core cultural value embedded in KNPC's 2040 strategic vision. The Local Marketing Department secured the Gold Medal for the eighth consecutive year, while the Main Building and Projects Department earned the Gold Medal classification for the ninth consecutive year, further demonstrating KNPC's commitment to safety.
Al-Mutairi stated that KNPC employees are the driving force behind the company's success. She encouraged everyone to stay updated on KNPC's progress by following the company's updates on its website, Instagram, and Facebook.

In conclusion, the RoSPA Award recognition further underscores KNPC's ongoing commitment to employee well-being and operational safety, setting a high standard for the petroleum industry in Kuwait and beyond.
