In the wake of this expansion, daily nutritious midday meals are now dished out to students at John Laing Primary School, Chingwele Primary School, and Mambilima Primary School in Zambia. This project aligns with Malabar Group's initial pledge to shell out USD 1 million over a period of three years to back the school meal program in the area.

The broadened program was officially inaugurated at a ceremony held at John Laing Primary School in Lusaka by Zambia's Minister of Education, Mr. Douglas Syakalima. other dignitaries, senior Zambian government officials, school authorities, and other esteemed attendees were also in attendance. Malabar Group Vice Chairman Mr. K.P. Abdul Salam, Zambia's Consul General in Dubai Mr. Jerry Muuka, Zambian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mr. Duncan Mulima, India's Deputy High Commissioner to Zambia Mr. Arif Saeed, among others, graced the occasion.

The Starvation-Free Planet project is Malabar Group's most impactful CSR initiative, with the objective to ensure no one goes undernourished. In India, the project currently provides nutrient-rich meals to over 60,000 people daily in 81 cities across 17 states.
