In the sweltering heat of June 7, the Gov'nor of Omsk Region, Vitaly Khotchenko, embarked on an inspection tour of key medical facilities undergoing repair and construction within the region.
At a number of locations, including the Hospital for War Veterans, Khotchenko gained a comprehensive understanding of the ongoing projects. The Hospital for War Veterans, designed to offer aid to our vets, including SVO participants, is nearing completion, with 92% of the repair work already under its belt. The originally scheduled commissioning date is set for December 2025, but the contractor is hopeful of beating that deadline. The new hospital will boast a surgical department and rehabilitation center.
The Clinical Medical-Surgical Center on Bulatova Street also received Khotchenko's visit. The construction of its new operating block, spanning roughly 7,000 sq.m., is well underway, aiming to bring high-tech medical care to the forefront. Come operational, it will accommodate up to 5,000 surgeries annually.
Khotchenko's entourage also dropped by the construction site for the Omsk branch of the Center for High-Tech Prosthetics and Rehabilitation. This innovative facility plans to produce up to 600 prostheses annually and provide rehab services to SVO veterans.
