Guilty Plea in Matthew Perry's Death: Doc Admits Dishing Out Ketamine

Hey there! Let's get right to it. You probably heard about the tragic demise of actor Matthew Perry in 2023, and now a doctor is in hot water. Dr. Salvador Plasencia has agreed to cop to his part in supplying good ol' ketamine to the late star. According to the prosecutor's office, ol' Sal's guilty plea covers four counts of dealing ketamine. That's some hefty stuff, and if things go south, he could face a whopping 40 years behind bars.

Now, ol' Sal isn't alone in this mess. A lady alleged to be dealing ketamine is also among the suspects. Hmm, I wonder if they were good pals or just business associates? Three other suspects, including another doctor, have already lit a cigarette and kissed the get-out-of-jail-free card goodbye by cooperating with the fuzz.

Remember ol' Sal's trial was set to start in August, but it looks like he just decided to save everybody some time. The lady, who has pleaded not guilty and is the only one among the five defendants still free from a deal with the cops, is also scheduled to step into that courtroom in August.

So, what led ol' Sal down this naughty path? Well, ol' Matt was found dead in his LA crib back in October 2023. The medical examiner concluded that ketamine was the main culprit behind the man's untimely demise. It seems ol' Matt was skating on thin ice, attempting to get his hands on as much ketamine as his doctor was willing to prescribe. Towards the end, he allegedly stumbled upon ol' Sal. According to court files, ol' Sal asked another doc—let's call him Chavez—to score him some ketamine.

After selling that sweet, sweet ketamine to ol' Matt, ol' Sal inquired about continuing their business arrangement, to become ol' Matt's go-to supplier. I guess you could say ol' Sal and ol' Matt were forming quite the dynamic duo... of drug dealers.

Ol' Matt battled addiction issues for years, right from his days on "Friends." You know, when he was "Chandler Bing," making us laugh every Tuesday! Alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer, he held a main role on that show for ten seasons, from 1994 to 2004. RIP, ol' Matt.
