Post-Vaccination Health Risks: Study of 85 Million Individuals Reveals Higher Chances of Stroke, Heart Attacks, Coronary Artery Disease, and Arrhythmia After COVID-19 Inoculation
Large-scale analysis reveals increased risks of stroke, heart attack, coronary artery disease, and arrhythmia following COVID-19 vaccinations. The study, titled COVID-19 Vaccination and Cardiovascular Events, was published in the International Journal of Preventative Medicine.
The meta-analysis included 15 studies, covering over 85 million individuals worldwide, including nearly 46 million vaccinated and nearly 40 million unvaccinated or control participants. Vaccines studied included Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and AstraZeneca.
The study found substantial increases in risks associated with Pfizer-BioNTech, particularly following the first and second doses. The second dose was linked to a 286% increased risk of myocardial infarction, and a 269% increased risk of stroke following the first dose. The first dose of any vaccine was associated with a 199% increased risk of arrhythmia, with the strongest signal observed after AstraZeneca's ChAdOx1.
Coronary artery disease risk was overall increased by 70%, with a 244% increase following the second dose of any vaccine. However, Moderna (mRNA-1273) was not prominently featured due to limited controlled studies.
Previous research has linked COVID-19 vaccines to rare cardiac complications such as myocarditis and pericarditis. The risks associated with these complications are higher from COVID-19 infection than from vaccination. The benefits of vaccination in preventing severe COVID-19 disease generally outweigh the risks of serious cardiac complications.
As each day passes, new studies continue to reveal possible harms associated with COVID-19 vaccines. The potential risks should be carefully weighed against the benefits.

- The study's findings suggests that the first and second doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccinations could potentially increase the risk of myocardial infarction and stroke by 286% and 269% respectively.
- The research indicated a 199% increased risk of arrhythmia following the first dose of any COVID-19 vaccine, with the highest risk observed after the AstraZeneca's ChAdOx1.
- The overall risk of coronary artery disease was found to be increased by 70%, and this risk was amplified to 244% following the second dose of any vaccine.
- Given the potential risks associated with COVID-19 vaccines and chronic diseases like cardiovascular conditions, it is crucial to consider health-and-wellness, nutrition, and therapies-and-treatments to maintain cardiovascular health, while carefully weighing the benefits against the risks.
