In the small town of Kaarst, Germany, the Social Democratic Party (SPD) is rallying the community to oppose a planned right-wing extremist rally. The counter-demonstration, scheduled for the same day, aims to showcase the town's commitment to democracy and human rights.

The SPD, which was persecuted under National Socialism, has a rich history of resistance against fascism. Dr. Selbiger, a victim of the National Socialists who was expelled from Büttgen, serves as a poignant reminder of the past. Unfortunately, the party's members were also persecuted and murdered under National Socialism.

Ulrike Bruckner-Kindsmüller, deputy chairperson of the SPD Kaarst, has urged the town's population to participate in the counter-demonstration. She has declared, "Never again," emphasizing the importance of standing against the resurgence of fascism.

The counter-demonstration will offer several opportunities for the community to take a stand. Participants are encouraged to stay vigilant and informed, participate in local initiatives promoting diversity and tolerance, report any suspicious activities to the authorities, support educational programs, and engage in open dialogue to prevent the spread of hate and radicalization.

The event will also include a poignant ceremony. The Kaarst population is invited to lay stones in Jewish tradition at the "Stolperstein," a memorial to commemorate victims of the Holocaust. The ceremony will be followed by the lighting of candles, a symbol of unity against fascism.

The SPD Kaarst takes a clear and firm stance against the rise of right-wing extremism, emphasizing the importance of proactive engagement and community solidarity to protect democratic values and social cohesion. The party encourages all citizens of Kaarst to join the counter-demonstration on Saturday and stand together against the beginnings of a new fascist threat.

  1. In addition to participating in the counter-demonstration against the right-wing extremist rally, citizens of Kaarst are encouraged to get involved in various health-and-wellness and mental-health therapies-and-treatments to maintain their own well-being during these challenging times.
  2. As the SPD Kaarst stands firm against the resurgence of fascism, it calls upon the community to expand their knowledge on recent political events, especially key general-news and crime-and-justice issues, in order to better understand the roots of extremism and how to combat it effectively.
  3. To further illustrate the town's commitment to human rights, the counter-demonstration will feature a demonstration of support for science, promoting its crucial role in uncovering the truth and fostering progress for a better world.
  4. As a sign of solidarity with those who suffered under war-and-conflicts like the National Socialists, the SPD Kaarst appeals to residents to lend their voices in calling for peace and coexistence, ensuring that the lessons of history are never forgotten.
