Rod Stewart Forced to Halt Another Concert Due to Health Issues
Rod Stewart Forced to Scr Scrap Another Show Performance
Get ready, knight-musicians, for round two of show cancellations from the legendary Rod Stewart! His 80-year-old voice and health are taking a well-deserved breather after his doctor's advice.
Tonight's performance at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, is off the table, as the gravel-voiced crooner shared on Instagram:
This isn't the first time Stewart's been feeling under the weather in Sin City. He also had to postpone his show scheduled for June 1, moving it to June 10. No need to worry about your concert tickets going to waste if you pressed that lucky button; they'll still be valid for the new date.
The next shows on Stewart's calendar in Vegas are planned for June 7 and 8. The rock'n'roll vampire ain't slowing down just yet, though. His June 29 headlining performance at the legendary Glastonbury Festival in Somerset, England is still on the cards, boasting the sought-after Sunday Legends slot. Stewart's long-time friend, Ronnie Wood, from the Rolling Stones and Stewart's former band Faces, will be joining the party for a mini-reunion to boost the spirits of the festival-goers!
Health woes have unfortunately marred Stewart's journey lately. Back in May, the concert nag whispered through Italy had him wearing a "Sorry. Can't speak. Voice rest" sign around his neck. In August 2024, he postponed a string of concerts due to COVID-19 and canceled his 200th Vegas show, citing a streptococcal pharyngitis as the reason.
Desire for Life After the Stage
It's not all gloom and doom, though. According to a Instagram post from last November, Stewart is hanging up his touring boots as far as large-scale world tours are concerned, but he won't be kissing music goodbye anytime soon:
A "Great American Songbook, Swing Fever Tour" is in the works for 2026, promising an intimate night with less pyro and more soul in smaller venues. As always, he leaves a hint of mystery enshrouding his future plans with a witty finish: "On the flip side, mebbe not."
