Various entities, including Rainbow Children's Hospital, Indian Hotels, and Adani group, have engaged in Mergers and Acquisitions.

In a significant move, Botree Software has announced the acquisition of Spoors, a mobile-first workflow automation platform. This strategic merger enhances Botree's position as a full-stack, route-to-market, and field execution platform, serving over 60 blue-chip clients in the FMCG, BFSI, telecom, and hospitality sectors.

Botree's Expanded Capabilities

The acquisition of Spoors brings additional capabilities to Botree, particularly in the area of field workflows, including onboarding, audits, and service ticketing. With Spoors' operations in over 10 countries, Botree is poised to deliver a unified end-to-end field operations solution to its clients.

Intas' Global Expansion

Meanwhile, another notable development comes from Intas, a global pharmaceutical company. Intas' strategy to build a global plasma platform has taken a significant step forward with the acquisition of Botree Software. This deal expands Intas' global footprint and adds substantial fractionation capacity to its existing India operations.

Rainbow Children's Medicare Limited's Strategic Move

In a separate development, Rainbow Children's Medicare Limited (RCML) has made a strategic move by acquiring a 76% stake in Pratiksha Women & Child Care Hospital Private Limited for approximately Rs 171 crore. This acquisition marks RCML's entry into the Northeast Indian market, specifically Assam and surrounding states, expanding its network to 21 hospitals across eight cities with a total capacity of about 2,185 beds.

Pratiksha Hospital's Rebranding and Integration

After the acquisition, Pratiksha Hospital will be rebranded as "Pratiksha Rainbow Children's Hospital" and integrated into RCML's national network. This integration will connect the hospital with regional hubs in Hyderabad, New Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai, facilitating advanced referrals and specialty care.

Original Promoters' Involvement

The original promoters, including Dr. Pramod Kumar Sharma and family, will retain a minority stake and remain involved for at least five years to support the hospital's expansion in the Northeast.

Expansion Plans for Pratiksha Hospital

Rainbow plans to use Pratiksha as a hub to expand pediatric, tertiary, and quaternary care across the Northeast, including setting up spoke hospitals and introducing patient transport services across Assam and neighboring states.

Other Notable Acquisitions

Adani Defence Systems and Technologies has signed a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of Indamer Technics, an aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) provider.

Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) has signed definitive agreements to acquire 51% stakes in ANK Hotels and Pride Hospitality for up to Rs 110 crore and Rs 94 crore, respectively.

Accord Plasma BV, a subsidiary of Intas Pharmaceuticals, will acquire Prothya Biosolutions Belgium BV and its subsidiaries.

It's worth noting that while there were no recent merger or acquisition news or strategic updates involving Adani Defence, Indian Hotels Company, Botree Software, Accord Plasma BV, or Prothya, further developments may be announced in the future.

In conclusion, the standout developments of 2025 include Botree Software's acquisition of Spoors, bolstering its position as a full-stack platform, and Rainbow Children's Medicare Limited's strategic acquisition of Pratiksha Hospital, deepening its market presence in the underserved Northeast India region, significantly enhancing its pediatric and maternal healthcare footprint nationwide.

  1. Botree Software, with its newfound capabilities from the Spoors acquisition, may explore opportunities in integrating technology solutions for health-and-wellness and lifestyle industries.
  2. With the acquisition of Pratiksha Hospital, Rainbow Children's Medicare Limited might find it beneficial to invest in technology for weather management systems to facilitate effective patient transport services across the Northeast.
  3. As sports are becoming increasingly popular in India, it would be interesting to observe whether Intas Pharmaceuticals, now equipped with fractionation capacity from the Botree acquisition, plans to invest in sports medicine technology for advanced treatments.
